Taxi Driver Was Detained By The Police And Later Found Dead In A Cell (Details)

Many people have doubts about the death of a 29-year-old man, and others have accused the police of being involved.

A few hours after being detained by several police officers, the dead, also known as Kwame Egyama nicknamed Big Man, was discovered hanging in jail cells. He worked as a journalist and taxi driver.

The source claims that Big Man was marked by the police officers on duty the day before because he allegedly refused to stop when they ordered him to do so while operating as a taxi driver.

He was recognized by police the following day, who pursued him on a motorcycle and had him apprehended.

Following his arrest, Kwame Egyama was transferred to the Mankessim Jedu Divisional Police station where he called the driver of his car, who then sped there.

The automobile owner was notified of his driver’s offense after arriving at the police station, and the two parties agreed to resolve the matter by paying for all damages.

The driver’s employer told the police that he was out of cash and would need to quickly run home to get more in order to pay for the release of his driver.

When he left the police station, he got a call saying that his driver, Kwame Egyama, called Big Money, had killed himself by hanging himself in the cell. He had told them he would be back in 15 minutes with the money.

When the automobile owner arrived at the police station, they informed him that Big Money’s body had been transferred to the mortuary without his family’s knowledge.

The deceased’s father, who was unhappy with the circumstances of his son’s death, asked the authorities where his son acquired the rope to hang himself.

Moses Ocran, the deceased father, questioned why the police would transport his son’s body to Cape Coast.

As a result of their suspicion that the police killed their son, the mother of the dead and a few other family members made a curse-invoking threat against the police.

The police’s plan to perform an autopsy on the deceased has subsequently been rejected by the family.

They are requesting that IGP Dr. Dampare look into the situation and see to it that justice is done for their late son.
