Dr. Vwaere Diaso, a doctor, was said to have perished after being in an elevator that apparently fell from a building’s 10th level in Lagos, Nigeria.
It was learned that the tragic event occurred on Monday, August 1, 2023, at night.
A source reports:
“She completed her medical degree at Babcock University and had just two weeks to complete her horsemanship at the General Hospital, Odan, Lagos Island.
She had gone downstairs to get her meal from a dispatch rider who was waiting for her before entering the elevator at the doctors’ apartments. When the elevator crashed from the 10th level to the bottom, she was inside. She passed away after being taken to the emergency room.
For the previous 12 months, we have complained about this broken elevator, but nothing has been done.
This incident was entirely avoidable. It’s really tragic that she died as a result of carelessness and poor management.
