
<p><strong>Funeral plans for Rev. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, the late founder and general overseer of the Resurrection Power New Generation Church, have been put on hold as a result of a High Court ruling.</strong></p>



<p>Rev. Mrs. Margaret Boakye, the late pastor&#8217;s widow, asked the court for clarification before receiving a decision. Following a protracted illness, Rev. Anthony Boakye passed dead on February 21, 2023, causing arguments between his widow, his family, and his congregation.</p>



<p>One noteworthy occurrence took place at the church&#8217;s One-Week Ceremony, which Rev. Mrs. Margaret Boakye was not allowed to attend. She sent a court petition to the Kumasi High Court in response to these problems, making a number of claims</p>



<p>She wanted the court to recognize and validate her marriage to the late pastor, as well as to enjoin the burial from taking place on August 5. She also asked to be given permission to do the conventional widowhood rites in accordance with tradition.</p>



<p>The plaintiff is legally and customarily entitled to carry out the necessary funeral rites for her late husband and mourn him as custom dictates for a surviving widow without any resistance or obstruction from the defendants or anyone else, according to a portion of the writ.</p>



<p>The burial services will be postponed as a result of the court&#8217;s decision to impose the injunction until the issue is sufficiently handled and resolved.</p>

<p>With heavy heart, I make this announcement in response to the protracted quiet and reluctance to speak about the uproar that has recently occurred</p>



<p>My devoted hubby didn&#8217;t become ill and need to be examined by a family doctor till the evening of October 22, 2021. After roughly 12 hours, we were sent to our home, where my husband was receiving private <a href="https://occupygh.com/akuapem-poloo-wants-be-medical-doctor-future">medical attention from a stationed nurse as well as various walk-in doctors</a> and physiotherapists. While I was leading our regular Thursday fellowship service at the church, Resurrection Power New Generation, on October 28th, some soldiers picked up my husband and took him to a private health facility.</p>



<p>Since October 28, 2021, until Friday, January 14, 2022, my husband has been receiving care from a private health facility. On the fifth day of our annual 21-day prayer and fast, some family members visited me to let me know that my husband had been discharged.</p>



<p>I confirmed his discharge that afternoon after checking in at the hospital. Since the 14th of January 2022, every attempt I made to meet Rev. Dr. Boakye had been in vain until I learned about his readmission in January and again in February 2023. Thank goodness, on February 6 at 8:30 p.m., I hurried to the <a href="https://occupygh.com/check-out-medikals-new-house-east-legon">East Legon</a> private hospital where, lo and behold, my husband lay. However, our discussion was cut short when the kids and the cops arrived and asked me to leave. Despite the physicians&#8217; advise, I took my spouse out of the hospital once more until the tragic news on February 21, 2023.</p>



<p>God knows that <a href="https://occupygh.com/osei-k-despite-latest-mansion-on-social-media">despite all the social media</a> humiliation I had to undergo out of respect for the love we share, I never stopped praying for my husband&#8217;s return and recovery. Since I have been married to the late Rev for more than 26 years, he has never publicly spoken against me, a claim he has repeatedly refuted in sermons up until the time of his &#8220;kidnap.&#8221;</p>



<p>It is only fair at this time that I make the following assertion in order to emphasize that:</p>



<p>Rev. Dr. Anthony Boakye and I were legally wed up until his untimely passing, and as his surviving wife, I am legally and conventionally authorized to participate in the funeral and observe the widowhood rite without fear of reprisal.</p>
