President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo is expected to address the country with his seventh update today April 19, 2020.
There were earlier reports that suggested that the President would address the country with his seventh update yesterday at 9 pm but was discounted by the Director of Communications at the Presidency Eugene Arhin describing the flier making such claims as fake.
According to Eugene Arhin, the President will address the country on Sunday [April 19, 2020]. The time for the address will be exactly 8:00 pm.
The President is expected to update the country on the latest measures put in place by the government to ensure that the deadly Coronavirus is contained. The President will also give the country update on the early 21 days of the partial lockdown of Greater Accra, Greater Kumasi, and Tema.
Ghana’s current case count stands at 834 with 9 deaths been recorded.
The latest address will put to rest speculations of either a total lockdown or an extension of the lockdown in some parts of the country amidst complaints from some businesses that they are suffering and require some reprieve.
