'Turkey Tail Banned In Ghana Since 1999' - FDA, Ghana Police Seizes Products In Suhum and Nsawam

The Ghana Police Service & the FDA Ghana have organized a swoop at Suhum and Nsawam to confiscate turkey tails, popularly known as Chofi, being offered for sale.

According to the FDA, the “product has been banned in Ghana since 1999” and that’s why they are hunting it down.

Also it’s part of their effort to ensure a healthy Christmas.

“As part of the FDA’s activities to ensure a healthier Christmas, our Eastern Regional Office in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, has organized a swoop at Suhum and Nsawam to confiscate turkey tail, popularly known as Chofi, being offered for sale. It would be recalled that the product has been banned in Ghana since 1999.”, the post shared by the FDA read.
