<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>The UK-Ghana Gold Mining Programme, a £3.9 million joint initiative between the governments of Ghana and the United Kingdom, has been unveiled to bolster Ghana&#8217;s anti-illegal mining efforts.</strong></p>



<p>The three-year project will focus on combatting illegal gold mining activities in the Western, Ashanti, and Savannah Regions of Ghana.</p>



<p>The UK government&#8217;s commitment of 3.9 million pounds aims to support Ghana&#8217;s ongoing fight against illicit mining and its associated environmental and social consequences.</p>



<p>This collaborative effort seeks to enhance sustainable mining practices and protect the Ghana&#8217;s natural resources while fostering economic growth in the mining sector.</p>
