Tiwa Savage, the reigning Afrobeats queen of Nigeria, has declared that her London performance has been officially canceled till further notice.
In order to rest her voice, Tiwa said that she had been facing a serious illness for the past three weeks.
She announced this on Tuesday by posting a statement to her Instagram account.
Savage added that she was upset by the situation and that any additional concerts had been canceled.
To her devoted Savage Soldiers, she said, “I’ve been battling a sickness for a few weeks, and today I was sternly told to be on rigorous vocal rest for the next few months.
“Unfortunately, I will have to cancel every engagement, including my first-ever headline arena performance in London.
Although I’m devastated and inconsolable, I have to take this action to preserve what’s left of my voice.
I’m truly sorry. I pledge to return to performing once I’m fully recovered and I love you all.
The Queen of Afrobeats is Tiwatope Omolara Savage, a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress better known by her stage name Tiwa Savage.
Savage sings in both Eglish and Yoruba, and her music is a fusion of hip-hop, afrobeats, pop, and R&B.
Savage has achieved a number of things thanks to her efforts to the Nigerian music scene.
