The Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) has disclosed the source of COVID-19 spread in the country.

According to the GSA (Ghana Standard Authority), used panties, handkerchief, and braziers for sale are the source of COVID-19 spread.

According to the Director, Middle Belt Directorate of the Ghana Standard Authority, Dr. Samuel Kofi Frimpong, individuals should be careful with the use of undergarments such as braziers, panties, and others sanitary wares for they are dangerous if they are not washed properly before use.

He added that the banning of second-hand clothes into the country by the government is to help control diseases like Covid-19.

He explained that germs in the second goods are difficult to be killed even after thorough washing. Officials at the GSA always see to it that goods imported from other countries are safe to be used.

“Our responsibility to ensure quality goods into the country has not been compromised. We, therefore, ensuring everything, we deliver the best to our people”, Dr. Samuel Kofi Frimpong said.
