Afena Gyan who was playing for his school team in Sunyani a few months back was contacted to move to AS Roma under 21 team.
After he impressed the Roma board and staff, Jose Mourinho then promoted him to the senior team. He has been doing exploits since his involvement in the senior team and he is just 18-years of age.
In his second appearance for AS Roma, he was substituted in at the 78th minute and got his first goal at 81st minute.
In stoppage time, he equalized again with a stunning shot into the bottom corner of the post in 30 yards. He saved Jose’s side from drawing.
