The funeral for John Dumelo’s mother was not attended by Nadia Buari or Yvonne Nelson. On Saturday, October 7, 2023, Mrs. Dumelo’s final funeral service for his deceased mother got under way at the crack of dawn.
The Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabraka, Accra, hosted the event. Family members and close friends walked by the body as it was placed in state. Between 7 and 10 a.m., some dignitaries paid their respects.
Former President John Mahama, businessman Ibrahim Mahama, actor Desmond Elliot from Nigeria, and gospel musician Sonnie Badu from Ghana were among those present at the funeral.
Dumelo added, “My mother was my everything,” as an homage to her. She was both my loudest advocate and my staunchest ally. I am incredibly appreciative of the time I got to spend with her, and I will always treasure the memories we shared.
In August 2023, Dumelo’s mother passed away after a protracted illness. She had a 71-year-old age.
