A nurse and mother of two has been sentenced to six years in prison with hard labor for pouring boiling water on her husband during an argument
Zeinab Muhammad Ali, employed at the Tamale Teaching Hospital’s Emergency Burns Unit Red Zone, engaged in a dispute with her husband, resulting in her actions.
The disagreement reportedly arose when her husband refused her access to his car.
Following the incident, Zeinab Muhammad Ali was arrested and brought before Justice Eric Ansah Ankomah of the Tamale High Court, where she was charged with causing harm and subsequently sentenced.
The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) after being admitted for his injuries.
