
<p>Ayodeji Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, is a multi-award-winning Nigerian artist who has arrived in Lagos, Nigeria, in time for the funeral of his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun.</p>



<p>The singer&#8217;s longtime manager, Sunday Are, reported that his mother passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 18.</p>



<p>He was quoted as stating, &#8220;Yes, she passed away this morning, around 1:30 am.&#8221;</p>



<p>The family released an e-flyer on social media informing people of her funeral plans over two months after her untimely death.</p>



<p>On Thursday, October 12, a wake and homage will be given in her honour, and on Friday, she will be laid to rest.</p>



<p>Wizkid was seen returning to Nigeria from abroad many weeks prior to the burial. He was seen at an airport in Nigeria.</p>



<p>Recall that at the birthday celebration for Wizkid&#8217;s first son, Boluwatife, in 2021, the singer&#8217;s mother dazzled the audience with her dance talents.</p>



<p>On May 13, Bolu, the superstar singer&#8217;s first child, celebrated his tenth birthday with a chic celebration.</p>



<p>Jane Dolapo, Wizkid&#8217;s mother, was in attendance at the party. The delighted grandmother shattered the dance floor with her &#8220;shaku shaku&#8221; dance routine.</p>
