If you’re one of many social media users who woke up on Wednesday to find that British songstress Adele was trending you might have asked, why? Had she tested positive for COVID-19? was she dead? It turns out, however, that the truth was equally sensational.
Social media users had their tongues wagging and gasping for air after the talented vocalist and songwriter, who was celebrating her 32nd birthday, shared a photograph of her much slimmer frame. Although Adele debuted her weight loss transformation in October last year at Drake’s birthday celebrations, her fans were really not expecting to see her this toned. Whatever she is doing, it’s definitely working for her.
The London-born star dressed her curves in a high-necked short black dress which delicately hugged her beautiful frame. The singer wore her blonde hair out over her shoulders as she smiled slightly off-camera. In a caption accompanying the photograph, the Hello singer wrote:
‘ hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time. I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels ♥️.’
Stunned fans reacted and started showering her with praises for her incredible weight loss, igniting a frenzy on social media.
The notoriously private celebrity has yet to comment on her dramatic weight loss but it is rumoured that the mother of one has managed to shed that much weight in a few months due to a reported calorie-controlled diet of ‘green juice and 1000 calories-a-day’.
Adele’s dramatic weight loss came hot on the heels of her separation from husband, Simon Konecki, with whom she shares seven-year-old son, Angelo, leading to some speculation that the divorce gave her the impetus to lose weight.
