Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has announced her intention to lead another Dumsor Must Stop demonstration in the near future.
The country has been experiencing severe power outages, with some areas enduring blackouts lasting over 30 hours.
Adding to the frustration, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has failed to provide a consistent schedule, leaving citizens unable to plan their daily lives.
Yvonne, who previously organized a protest against the government due to the erratic power supply, is now planning another demonstration.
In a tweet, she called upon Imani Ghana, who supported her during the 2015 protest, to collaborate once again for a new demonstration.
Expressing her dissatisfaction with President Nana Addo and his administration, Yvonne stated, “Imani Ghana, can we organize another vigil? I’ve been waiting for you to reach out like you did years back. (Your team made our demo a success.) I’m reaching out myself. The NPP and its leadership @NAkufoAddo have taken Ghanaians for granted. #DUMSORMUSTSTOP.”
