Ghana’s acclaimed dancehall king – Shatta Wale has been featured on Beyonce’s upcoming album and it is all that is in the news today.

For the first time, Shatta Wale is trending worldwide on Twitter, obviously for the feature, we therefore agree that this feature is a plus for the dancehall artist.

Following this, twitter users among other are wondering how Shatta ended up on Beyonce‘s feature list.

Well, exclusive to OccupyGh.com, Beyonce has stated the obvious.

“Each song was written to reflect the film’s storytelling that gives the listener a chance to imagine their own imagery, while listening to a new contemporary interpretation.” Beyonce stated as she announced the album last week.

Beyonce further stated that all featured artist on the album are talented. She said: “It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me.”

It should be noted that Shatta Wale is joined by Guilty Beat, a young talented Ghanaian engineer in the making of Beyonce’s ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ Album.
