
<p>The host of a Ghanaian media program, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, has explained why couples shouldn&#8217;t spend money on one other.</p>



<p>Speaking to Berla Mundi on the Day Show on TV3, Akumaa Mama Zimbi disclosed that only married couples are required to spend money on one another; single individuals are not.</p>



<p>She felt that save for exceptional occasions like birthdays, couples should not spend money on one another.</p>



<p>If their boyfriends&#8217; rooms lack chairs, Akumaa also encouraged women not to sit on the bed.</p>



<p>Dr. Joyce Akumaa Dongotey-Padi, also known professionally as Akumaa Mama Zimbi, is a journalist for Ghanaian television and radio, a supporter of women&#8217;s rights, a blogger, a marriage counselor, and an actress.</p>



<p>Akumaa is renowned for her intriguing, yet enticing, methods of saying &#8220;Medaase&#8221; (Thank you).</p>



<p>Additionally, the unique ways she wears her headwear give her the distinct Akumaa brand. Akumaa&#8217;s early years, family, and educational background are all poorly known.</p>



<p>However, it is well known that she has been married for more than 30 years to a businessman and that her father is a police officer.</p>
