Veteran dancehall artist Emmanuel Andrews Samini known in showbiz as simply Samini Dagaati has called on the sitting government of Ghana, Nana Addo’s administration to legalize marijuana.
Speaking on YFM Takoradi, the ‘my girl’ hitmaker made this revelation during an interview.
According to him, the government should give farmers the right to grow ‘weed’ due to the economic benefits.
“Since weed/marijuana is of economic benefits, it will be harsh for any government to put a total ban on it just because people smoke it. However, you (government) can strengthen it laws on smoking but still allow farmers to grow it for the other purposes it was made for whilst we debate whether to smoke it or not.” he disclosed.
