A Muslim student at the University of Ghana, Legon, has expressed his disappointment and frustration after being tricked into attending a church service by the Student Representative Council (SRC).
The SRC had advertised a “fun trip” without disclosing the actual destination or purpose.
The student, who was among many others, felt deceived and disrespected when they arrived at a church for a service.
“I am a Muslim, I cannot be attending church like this,” he lamented in a video.
Other students were also seen on a bus, looking unhappy and confused, complaining about the unexpected turn of events.
The student’s video has gone viral, with many calling for an explanation and apology from the SRC.
