Just In: Three Top Managers Behind Menzgold Identified

We earlier published the report of two top managers of Menzgold who were said to be running the business with the embattled CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah. Now, three more photos have been released of individuals who are also part of Menzgold’s management, bringing the number to five.

Before their photos were released, Nana Appiah was the focal person who has received public criticism and attacks for the current struggling state of Menzgold.

However, it has been discovered that these five persons, who make up a seven-member team of Menzgold’s management, had huge roles they played in the gold trading business, and were actually the ones running the company.

The individuals are reported to have been directly in charge of the day-to-day activities of Menzgold prior to its struggles, which were apparently informed by an investigation into its operations by the Security and Exchanges Commission and the Bank of Ghana.

The investigation, which caused investors to lose confidence in Menzgold, has prompted the company to sue the SEC and BoG.

One of Menzgold’s managers, who has been identified as Shadrack Fodjour, is the head of marketing in charge of monitoring and evaluation. His duty was to ensure that nothing untoward happened while he led a team in sourcing for more clients.

Another ‘baron’ of the company, who is also identified as Isaac Otseng, is a supervisions and operations team member. As his portfolio suggests, Otseng is head of operations of the embattled organisation.

The third person, Mr. Bonsu Yirenkyi-Offei, is the corporate affairs manager of Menzgold, who kept a low profile because nothing was heard about him in the media. Instead, media personality, George Quaye, who was appointed the head of communications, but later resigned due to Menzgold’s troubles, was in charge of media relations for the company.

Currently, Nana Appiah Mensah who we reported to have been granted bail back in Dubai and rearrested due to a warrant issued on Ghana government is yet to be released to address the issue on board.

Customers of Menzgold earlier this week however besieged EOCO’s office to log their complaints.
