The notice stated that this directive would take effect from April 3, 2023. The decision to confiscate the video game consoles from students was taken after the management received information that some resident students brought the prohibited devices to the Hostel some weeks ago.

The memo has sparked mixed reactions from internet users, who have taken to social media to express their opinions on the matter.

While some have criticized the decision, others have supported the management’s decision, stating that it would help curb distractions and keep students focused on their academic work.

Some students, however, have expressed their displeasure at the decision, stating that it is an infringement on their freedom.

They argue that the students are old enough to manage their affairs and should not be treated like naive children in high schools who need supervision.

Meanwhile, the management has assured the students that the confiscated video game consoles will be safely kept and returned to their owners at the end of the academic year.
